Brian Burkinshaw is the Director of Technology and Innovation at Spinal Restoration. Brian was formerly the Director of New Technology Assessment at Centerpulse Orthopedics, Inc. Additionally, Brian is also a partner in Path4 Ventures, a management-centric venture capital company.

Mr. Burkinshaw has over 28 years of diverse experience in engineering and business development. He has spent the last 23 years in the healthcare field and has held various engineering management positions in orthopaedic endeavors.

Brian has demonstrated a true innovation track record and holds over 25 patents in various areas of medical devices, instrumentation and techniques. He is widely published and is considered an expert in commercializing technology. His particular passions are in new business development and intellectual property and he has also completed advanced training in patent law.

Brian Burkinshaw holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Cleveland State University and a M.S. in Science and Technology Commercialization from the University of Texas.
